LEGO with defect Boxes
At ToyHamony we offer retired and hard to find LEGO® toys. They are also brand new and completely factory sealed. Since being retired the original boxes may have aged and inherited some defects, damages along the way. Please keep reading to understand the full clarity of what that means.
This section is providing an understanding about the condition of the original boxes of the toys that are listed on our online toy store. Let us commence with stating that every LEGO® toy listed on the ToyHarmony store is actually genuine LEGO® toys, made from the original LEGO® company. In addition to that all our toys are brand new, that is never opened or even played with. The original factory seals are still on them, quality checked, and are approved for resale.
We aquire these retired toys from the general market, and only recieve them in their condition of how the general market has stored them. At times the toys we acquire for our business are not in the best mint packaged condition. A wide range of the toys we offer may have some form of box defect that is visible on them. Meaning they have damages, scratches, marks, dents, shelfwear and so on. Some are not easily detectable others are very clearly visible depending on the type of damage.
These severe damages could be classified as squashed boxes, faded boxes, marks, badly scratched, heavily scuffed or any other form of heavily noticeable defect or damage to the box. However they are still in their original packaging and still sealed by the original LEGO® brick manufacturer and never played with.
LEGO packaging
To explain how the LEGO® packing works and what is being provided to the public by ToyHarmony, we have put together an informative brief on the matter.
The brick sets have two forms of packaging, the first type is the external cardboard box packaging which is visible in the shops or online. This will have the LEGO® logo, the item code and a image of what is inside the box and the second form of packaging is the internal plastic bags, which are placed inside the original box and then completely sealed.
Though the external boxes may have been damaged from reasons unknown from the locations we sourced them from. The plastic brick toys within the boxes are still brand new. New meaning they have never been opened from the time they were sealed from the original factory seals. The LEGO sets are completely new with the seals intact.
Loose LEGO items
On occasion there may be a few loose LEGO® items inside the box, please do not dismiss the product if a few loose pieces are found inside the boxes. At times some brick items are originally packed in this manner from the original LEGO® brick manufacturer.
Please also do not be upset as well if they are not genuinely new as the boxes are being opened, we do not open the seals to view the internal contents of the brick sets. We only inspect very closely to view if the external seals have been tampered with, if we believe the seals seem intact and are brand new, it is then only we offer them to the public market.
We trust those with what is offered to us are honest, and we also trust that our purchasers or customers are also honest as they view the toys.
Defects described
At ToyHarmony within each LEGO® product description, all the defects will be stated at the bottom of the description if applicable. This is after the product features and product specifications.
We do not place every and all the minor defects that are on the toy boxes, we only state the damages that are highly visible on the boxes. Each box is closely examined and any defect found will be described on the product listing or we just provide the toys as they are to the market.
If the boxes are heavily damaged, we would mention at the top of the description box of each product that the boxes are damaged. We also provide with suffiecient photos to ensure the damage is visible.
These heavily noticeable defects are, such as a badly squashed boxes, a major crease, a major tear or a rip to the toy box. For lighter shelfwear, scuff marks, small rips, or smaller defects will not be mentioned. Please read the product description of each LEGO® product thoroughly and view the photos as closely as possible before making a purchase.
